SECTION/RULE §356.509 - Additional Requirements if a Shelter Center Uses a Series of Safe Homes

If the center uses a series of safe homes for shelter, it must:(1) have a written policy that addresses in-depth screening of each home, including the suitability of the house and host family or individual; and(2) meet the same standards as a regular 24-hour-a-day shelter except:(A) it is not required to have 24-hour employee or volunteer coverage; and(B) any material the Health and Human Services Commission requires to be posted can instead be placed in a notebook that is clearly labeled and visibly available for residents to read.
