SECTION/RULE §356.2023 - Policies and Procedures for the Retention and Destruction of Documentation

(a) A center must develop, maintain, and comply with written policies and procedures for the retention and destruction of all written, electronic, and digital documentation that pertains to all program participants, including, but not limited to:(1) case notes, case content, and case files;(2) staff-to-staff communications; and(3) documentation required by other funders.(b) Length of retention must be at least 3 years and 90 calendar days after the date of the last service.
