SECTION/RULE §550.1 - Purpose

Chapter Review Date (a) The purpose of this chapter is to implement THSC Chapter 248A, which directs the executive commissioner to adopt minimum standards that a person must meet to be licensed as a center.(b) Except as provided by THSC §248A.002, a person may not own or operate a center unless the person holds a license issued by HHSC under THSC Chapter 248A and this chapter.(c) An applicant may not provide services under a license for which an application has been submitted until HHSC issues the license.
