SECTION/RULE §550.1205 - Distinct Part Facilities and Physical and Programmatic Separation

Chapter Review Date (a) A center must be physically and programmatically distinct from any business to which it is attached or of which it is a part.(b) If more than one business occupies the same building or physical location, the center must have its own entrance.(c) A center must be separated from other occupancies with construction having a fire resistance rating of not less than 2 hours.(d) A center's separate entrance must not be accessed solely through another business or health care provider.(e) A center's separate entrance must have appropriate signage and be clearly identified as belonging to the center.(f) A licensed center's space must be contiguous.(g) If a center has more than one building, the center must provide protection from inclement weather to minors, staff, contractors, volunteers and visitors who travel between the buildings.
