CHAPTER 571 - VOLUNTARY RECOVERY HOUSING ACCREDITATION
SUBCHAPTER A - GENERAL PROVISIONS
SECTION/RULE §571.4 - Accreditation Not Required

(a) The accreditation process outlined in this chapter is voluntary. A recovery house is encouraged to seek and maintain accreditation but is not required to be accredited to operate in the state of Texas.(b) Effective September 1, 2025, in accordance with THSC §469.009, a recovery house that is not accredited by an accrediting organization under THSC Chapter 469 and this chapter is ineligible for and may not receive funding from the state of Texas.
