SECTION/RULE §742.813 - What are the Fire Safety Requirements?

(a) Your home must have a fire extinguisher that is serviced according to the manufacturer's instructions, or as required by the state or local fire marshal.(b) Your home must have a smoke detector and you must replace the batteries annually.(c) If your home uses gas or propane or your garage is directly connected to your home, then your home must have a carbon monoxide detector and you must replace the batteries annually.
