SECTION/RULE §745.253 - When must I notify parents that I do not carry liability insurance?

(a) If you do not carry liability insurance that meets the requirements of §745.249 of this division (relating to What are the liability insurance requirements for a licensed operation, registered child-care home, or listed family home?), then you must notify a child's parent in writing that you do not carry the insurance before you admit a child into your care.(b) You may use Form 2962, Attachment A, Parental Notification of Lack of Required Liability Insurance, located on Licensing's provider website to notify parents. Regardless of whether you use this form, you must be able to demonstrate that you provided written notice to the parent of each child in your care.
