SECTION/RULE §745.255 - What safe sleeping training must a person complete when applying to operate a listed family home?

An applicant for a listed family home, including a home that will only provide care and supervision for children related to the primary caregiver, must successfully complete one hour of safe sleeping training that covers the following topics:(1) Recognizing and preventing shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma;(2) Understanding and using safe sleeping practices and preventing sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS); and(3) Understanding early childhood brain development.
