SECTION/RULE §746.4907 - How should outdoor loose-fill surfacing materials be installed?

(a) You must install and maintain loose-fill surfacing materials to a depth of:(1) At least six inches when the height of the highest designated play surface is five feet or less; and(2) At least nine inches when the height of the highest designated play surface is greater than five feet.(b) You must not install loose-fill surfacing materials over concrete or asphalt.(c) You must mark all equipment support posts to indicate the depth at which the loose-fill surfacing material must be maintained under and around the equipment.(d) You must ensure the loose-fill materials are maintained at the proper depth at all times.(e) Loose-fill surfacing materials must not be used indoors.
