SECTION/RULE §747.1323 - What additional training must an employee and caregiver have if the child-care home allows a child to access a swimming pool at or away from the home?

(a) If the child-care home allows a child to access a swimming pool at or away from the home, annual water safety training is required for:(1) Each substitute or assistant caregiver prior to accompanying a child to a swimming pool; and(2) The primary caregiver.(b) The training must be specific to water safety in and around swimming pools.(c) Water safety training is exclusive of any requirements for orientation, pre-service training, and annual training.
