SECTION/RULE §748.1269 - For an emergency admission, when must I complete all of the requirements for an admission assessment?

(a) For an emergency admission, you must complete all of the requirements (see Division 1 of this subchapter (relating to Admission)) for an admission assessment within 40 days from the date of the child's admission.(b) In an emergency admission of a child receiving treatment services, the child must not continue in care for more than 30 days after the date of admission or 10 days after the date of admission for a residential treatment center, unless the child has received the psychiatric evaluation, psychological evaluation, psychosocial assessment, or medical evaluation that is required by §748.1219 of this title (relating to What are the additional admission assessment requirements when I admit a child for treatment services?), and the evaluation or assessment indicates manifestations of the disorder requiring treatment services. All evaluations and assessments must be signed, dated, and documented in the child's record.
