SECTION/RULE §748.1699 - What must I do if a child refuses to or cannot eat a meal or snack that I offer?

(a) You must offer a child a meal or snack according to this division, but you may not force the child to eat. You are not required to offer other food to a child who:(1) Refuses a meal or snack; or(2) Chooses not to be present when a meal or snack is scheduled.(b) You must discuss recurring eating problems with the child's parent.(c) If a meal or snack is not appropriate to meet a child's individual needs, for example food allergies or religious reasons, then you must offer the child an appropriate nutritional substitute.
