SECTION/RULE §748.1707 - What are the requirements for tube-feeding formula?

(a) A registered or licensed dietitian, physician, or a registered nurse must ensure the caregiver that prepares the formula is adequately trained and has demonstrated competency in preparing the formula.(b) Tube feeding formulas must supply the recommended dietary allowance for each child.(c) You must prepare and store the formula:(1) According to directions; or(2) As prescribed by a health-care professional.
