SECTION/RULE §748.3017 - Are animals allowed at my operation?

(a) Yes; if:(1) You have documentation at your operation showing dogs and cats have been vaccinated for rabies as required by Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 826; and(2) All animals on the premises, including pets and livestock, are treated according to a licensed veterinarian's recommendations to protect the health and safety of children. If you choose to have animals on the premises, you must ensure that the animals do not create health problems or a health risk for children.(b) For therapeutic camp services, you must house horses and other animals that you maintain at a camp at a reasonable distance from any sleeping, living, eating, or food preparation area.
