SECTION/RULE §749.1019 - What must a caregiver document regarding a search?

A caregiver must document the following in the child's record when conducting a search if it results in the removal of personal items or clothing worn by the child:(1) The date of the search;(2) The name of the child;(3) Reason for the search;(4) A description of what was searched;(5) The articles of clothing removed, if applicable;(6) The name of the person conducting the search;(7) The name of the witness, if applicable;(8) The results of the search; and(9) The resolution of the issue with the child or children involved.
