SECTION/RULE §749.1253 - What must staff do to prepare a child for a placement?

(a) The child-placement staff must discuss with the child the circumstances that make the placement necessary, as appropriate to the child's age and ability to respond orally and behaviorally to such a discussion. The discussion must take place prior to or at the time of the placement of a child.(b) You must document into the child's record:(1) That the discussion occurred; and(2) The child's understanding of and response to the discussions and the placement.
