(a) Respite child-care services are a planned alternative 24-hour care that has the purpose of providing relief to the child's primary caregiver.(b) For the purposes of this chapter, respite child-care placement is a placement that lasts more than 72 hours. The placement of a child in a home for less than 72 hours is not respite child-care.
