SECTION/RULE §749.2917 - What are the requirements for animals that are present at a foster home?

(a) Any animals on the premises of a home must be kept free of disease and must not create health problems or a health risk for children.(b) Animals must be vaccinated and treated as recommended by a licensed veterinarian.(c) The caregivers must have documentation at the home showing that dogs and cats have been vaccinated for rabies as required by Texas Health and Safety Code, Chapter 826.
