SECTION/RULE §749.3431 - What must I do if I determine that the placement cannot be completed and/or is not in the best interest of the child and/or the adoptive family?

(a) You must remove the child from the adoptive family if the placement and adoption is not in the best interest of the child and/or the adoptive family.(b) The decision to remove the child must be reviewed and approved by child placement management staff prior to the removal.(c) If the child comes back into your care, you must document the following in the child's record:(1) The circumstances necessitating the removal from the adoptive family; and(2) An update of the child's service plan.
