(a) Under Insurance Code §4202.002(c)(2)(B) an IRO that enters into an agreed order with the department that includes surrendering its certificate of registration, must surrender the organization's certificate of registration immediately on the request of the department.(b) Independent reviews will not be assigned to an IRO during a surrender of the IRO's certificate of registration.(c) Surrender of an IRO's certificate of registration does not negate the requirement in §12.208(i) of this subchapter that an IRO must retain information generated and obtained by the IRO in the course of a review for at least four years or the obligation to complete all independent reviews assigned to the IRO before its the surrender of the certificate of registration.
