SECTION/RULE §25.84 - Individual Account Records

Individual account records on each insured shall be maintained to reflect the complete account history as to funding, charges, payments, and adjustments, if any, and shall include the accurate dates of all entries to the account. The records shall also reflect the date the finance charge began to accrue. Individual account records shall disclose the date that the insurance premium finance company requested cancellation of the financed insurance policies. The individual's file shall contain copies of premium finance agreements, memoranda, notices of intent to cancel or computer printouts of such notices, and cancellation notices. A complete account history shall be maintained by the licensee in all closed account files. All records of proof-of-funding must be available for examination by the Department.
