This subchapter:(1) applies to all persons involved in the business of life settlements in this state as specified in Insurance Code Chapter 1111A;(2) does not regulate the actions of an investor providing money to a life settlement provider, and does not preempt, supersede, or limit any provision of any state securities law or any rule, order, or notice issued under the law; and(3) becomes effective August 1, 2013.
