The commissioner adopts by reference the form Important Information You Should Know Before Entering Into A Life Settlement (revised April 2013), as a shopper's guide for delivery to owners during the solicitation process. The life settlement broker, or the provider if the transaction does not have a broker, must deliver the guide to the owner prior to the execution of the life settlement contract. The form is available from the Texas Department of Insurance, Life and Health Division, Filings Intake, MC-LH-LHL, P.O. Box 12030, Austin, Texas 78711-2030, or by accessing the department's website at www.tdi.texas.gov/forms. The delivery of the shopper's guide satisfies only the requirements of Insurance Code §1111A.012(10) and this section.
