SECTION/RULE §34.618 - Installation Inspections
Chapter Review Date 06/08/2021

The following inspections shall be performed by the licensed firm in order to assure proper installation techniques are followed:(1) At the completion of the device back-box installation but prior to the start of cable installation; (2) At the completion of cable installation but prior to the start of device installation; and (3) At the completion of device installation but prior to activating the fire alarm system. The above-referenced inspections shall be performed by a licensed fire alarm technician or planner and be documented on the inspection form. The registered firm shall notify the authority having jurisdiction if initiation of corrective action does not take place within ten calendar days. The completed form shall be kept on file at the licensed firm's office for a period of five years from the date of system certification.
