SECTION/RULE §5.9928 - Additional Powers of the Association

The powers of the Association shall include the following:(1) the ability to sue;(2) the ability to own or lease real estate for its operations;(3) the ability to retain the services of experts to aid it in carrying out its operations;(4) the ability to generally contract for goods and services needed to carry out its operations;(5) the ability to invest its funds in accordance with Insurance Code Article 2.10; and(6) the ability to conclude its affairs should the FAIR Plan be deactivated by the Commissioner.
