The purpose of this subchapter is to clarify and consolidate the procedure for effecting service of process on persons, companies, and other entities doing the business of insurance or conducting related business in the state of Texas, whether licensed or not; to provide general instructions for unique circumstances; and to establish fees for service of legal process and related documentation.
