Nothing contained in this chapter is intended to limit, expand, or otherwise alter any of the requirements relating to giving notice of injury and filing a claim for compensation placed upon an injured employee, nor the consequences established for a failure to fulfill those requirements, by the provisions of the Texas workers' compensation statutes or commission rules.
