SECTION/RULE §117.1103 - Exemptions

The following units are exempt from this division, except as specified in §117.1140 and 117.1145 of this title (relating to Demonstration of Compliance; and Notification, Recordkeeping, and Reporting Requirements):(1) utility boilers or auxiliary steam boilers with an annual heat input less than or equal to 220,000 million British thermal units per year, on a rolling 12-month basis;(2) stationary gas turbines that operate less than 850 hours per year, on a rolling 12-month basis; or(3) stationary gas turbines that are used solely to power other gas turbines or engines during startups.
