SECTION/RULE §217.123 - Screenings and Debris Handling

(a) A screening device must have a minimum storage capacity of one day of screenings and debris.(b) A container for screenings and debris must be fully covered with a tight-fitting cover designed to reduce vector attraction, or must use an alternative method of reducing vector attraction approved in writing by the executive director.(c) A storage area for screenings and debris must drain to the headworks of the wastewater treatment facility or the influent lift station and must include runoff control.(d) All screenings and debris must be collected in containers described in subsection (b) of this section and be managed and disposed of in accordance with Chapter 330 of this title (relating to Municipal Solid Waste).
