SECTION/RULE §217.241 - General Requirements

(a) For purposes of this subchapter, sludge processing includes thickening, stabilization, and dewatering.(b) A design must base the selection and operation of the sludge processing units on the desired final sludge product.(c) A wastewater treatment facility that disposes of sludge under Chapter 312 of this title (relating to Sludge Use, Disposal, and Transportation) must stabilize the sludge according to the requirements of that chapter.(d) A wastewater treatment facility that disposes of sludge under Chapter 330 of this title (relating to Municipal Solid Waste) must comply with the requirements of that chapter.
