SECTION/RULE §330.213 - Citizen's Collection Stations

(a) Citizen's collection stations shall be provided with the type and quantity of containers compatible with the areas to be served. Rules shall be posted governing the use of the facility to include who may use it, what may or may not be deposited, etc. The responsible person that owns or operates the collection center shall provide for the collection of deposited waste on a scheduled basis and supervise the facility in order to maintain it in a sanitary condition.(b) A citizen's collection station may accept sharps from single-family or multi-family dwellings, hotels, motels, or other establishments that provide lodging and related services for the public. The sharps will not be considered medical waste, as defined in §330.3 of this title (relating to Definitions).
