(a) A savings bank may make unsecured loans or purchase participations in unsecured loans, on the terms and in amounts consistent with the savings bank's lending policies, subject to the limitations of this section.(b) Real estate, personal property, or interests in oil and gas leases may be provided as security for such loans without meeting the requirements of this chapter for real estate or personal property loans, so long as all requirements of this section are met.
