(a) In attempting to collect money due on a motor vehicle retail installment sales contract or to take possession of any property securing a motor vehicle installment sales contract, a licensee or the licensee's agent must not use any means other than appeals to reason or lawful remedies authorized under the laws of this state or other applicable law.(b) A licensee or the licensee's agent must not use any physical force or violence against any person or use any violence or other force that results in harm or damage to property.
